Strawberry Facial Peel

As our skins ages, it loses the ability to shed dead cells as well as its elasticity.  This is where nature is able to play a part in helping keep mature skin in line.  Try nature’s recipes for a skin booster.  The strawberries contain high levels of alpha-hydroxy and the white willow bark holds salicylic acid.  Together they will brighten your skin, remove the dead cells and clean your pores.

What you will need:

5 large strawberries
1 egg yolk, beaten
1 teaspoon of honey
1 white willow bark tablet (check you local health food store)
2 drops of frankincense essential oil
Cornflour

  1. Grind white willow tablet in a mortar until a fine power.
  2. In a separate bowl, smash the strawberries until they are as fine as you can get them.
  3. Add powder of willow bark to the smashed strawberries and mix well.
  4. Add beaten egg yolk, essential oil, honey and mix thoroughly.  Add pinches of cornflour to thicken the substance to a facial mask consistency.
  5. Smooth the mask onto damp skin and let it dry.  After about 10 minutes, rinse off with luke warm water.
  6. After the mask is removed, splash some cool water onto your face to close your pours.
